Data Externalization Interfaces - Others
ODBC connections (DB to DB) nice if you have stable architecture. We don’t have that much experience, most system are not RDBMS.
Database Replication - This is not as easy as it seems, again not much experience, not many RDBMS, most operational systems don’t like experiments.
CORBA - Wrapping the LIS in a IDL would, I think, be great. No one is doing this. LIS vendors aren’t moving on this and we don’t have a clear API to our LIS. C/S may help.
