Hardware Third Party Software
One will almost certainly need to purchase some third party software. Minimally one needs a database server engine, a web server engine, and some security software. Here is a sample list:
- Database Server: Oracle 8 server.
- Web Server: IIS or Oracle Web Server
- Oracle Report Server
- PERL Interpreter
- SSL Certificate
- Certificate Server: Oracle Certificate Server
- Preferred Web Browser: Netscape Navigator 4.0 - if you can dictate a browser do so!
Note that the particular software may be dictated by purchasing or MIS policy. Check before doing something rash.
