Hardware System Servers
Most web-based systems are built on two server machines:
- A database server the holds the database, some application logic and interfaces to legacy LIS systems.
- A web server that holds the HTTP server, CGI/CORBA logic, some application logic, and some security code (fire walling, SSL, certificates, etc).
