Who will interface with VR and LIS vendor?
- Preferable to have department network specialist conversant in HL7 and your LIS system for interconnect portion of project
- Need dedicated LIS person to assist in implementation of non-interconnect functions
- Set up workstations
- Install software
- Daily software and hardware maintenance
- Need MD to be intimately involved in project, especially for clinical knowledge base design
- Ideal team: Network analyst, LIS support staff and Pathologist
