Research Plan for the Development of a Content Based Image Retrieval Testbed

Specific Aim 1: The development of a very large and continuously expanding comprehensive archive of pathologic images accessed via Internet web browsers.

Specific Aim 2: The annotation of a reliable set of text indexed images to serve as a testbed for the CBIR toolkit development.

Specific Aim 3: The development of CBIR tools (a CBIR search engine) for interactively interrogating the database and for viewing the image data on standard PC platforms.
