This is the official Web site of the Society for Pediatric Pathology, a professional association of pathologists and others with a special interest in pathology and disorders of newborns, children, and adolescents. The site serves members of the Society and introduces the Society to the public. In addition to describing the medical subspeciality field of Pediatric Pathology, the site contains information on SPP publications, meetings, membership, pediatric pathology training programs and the SPP listserve. The publications section describes the two Society journals, Pediatric and Developmental Pathology and Perspectives in Pediatric Pathology, and the Society Newsletter, and includes links to the publisher's site with full text of articles available to subscribers. Searchable indexes of recent volumes of the journals are available. One can obtain applications to join the Society and meeting registration forms online. A special section lists all pathology reviewers for clinical trials in the treatment of pediatric malignancies conducted by the Children's Cancer Group and the Pediatric Oncology Group. Several case studies in pediatric pathology are posted, as well as links to many other sites focusing on medicine and medical images, pathology, and pediatrics. In particular, links to search engines of the National Library of Medicine, PubMed, and the National Center for Biotechnology Information, OMIM (Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man), are readily available. This page is consulted regularly by Society members, other professionals, and members of the public seeking information about pediatric diseases and the associated medical specialists.
