The Ohio Society of Pathologists (OSP) web site supports the mission of the OSP: to provide membership opportunities to qualified physicians, to promote research in Pathology, to familiarize other physicians with the specialty, to encourage careers in the field, to ensure the availability of the services of pathologists to all the people of Ohio, and to further the professional and scientific development of the profession of Pathology. The members are located throughout Ohio at many different institutions. The Internet eliminates barriers of time and distance and allows for the free flow of information in support of the society goals.

As a service to the pathology community, the OSP Web site provides information about membership, upcoming meetings, and events. The regular publication of the OSP, The Bulletin of the OSP, which provides information about recent developments in Pathology, educational features, and job postings, is also published at the site.

The OSP Web site supports the structure of the organization by providing a current listing of all officers. Delegates to the College of American Pathologists selected by the OSP are also listed, as well as links to national pathology organizations. A major mission of the OSP is fostering the training of pathologists, and a comprehensive set of links to residency programs in Ohio is provided.

Links to individual departmental sites provide connections to pathology groups throughout the state, with the vision of eventually linking every pathology department or group in Ohio through the OSP Web site.
