During the last years, the quality laboratories control
performed a lot of tests with slides. The elaboration of
the tests was very difficult because many times a good case
did not have the number of necessary slides to do the questions.
The geographic distances and the number of laboratories
(up to 750) that the Society wants to control, turn the
distribution of slides sets between labs impracticable.
The Brasilian Society of Pathology made a new approach in quality control, that made possible the inclusion of all laboratories, including the ones deep in the country. The system is very easy to install and to use. The images and the questions are sent in a CD-Rom and the pathologists send the answers by e-mail or Fax. After 30 days, the Society sends the correct answers to the laboratories, the range of the answers, the model graphics, literature about questions and and the new set for tests.
