Autopsy Reports on-line is an application designed for reporting of the autopsy results in the electronic format on the hospital LAN.

The pages illustrate an innovative approach to the reporting of the pertinent autopsy findings in concise electronic format. Reports are accompanied by high quality photographs of pertinent gross and microscopic autopsy findings. Among the most important advantages of on-line autopsy reports are:

Ease of access:

Specified medical personnel have an easy access to the reports from anywhere in the hospital, eliminating need for tracking down the actual printed report. Autopsy cases can be presented in any conference room with the LAN access and projection equipment. Since preparation of the projection slides is not necessary, presentation can be performed even with very short notification time.
Teaching resource:

Review of the pathologic autopsy findings provides valuable teaching resource to pathology residents and medical students. Database of images allows for rapid retrieval of illustrations of disease processes.
Monitoring progress of autopsy reports:

Current status of the completion of various components of autopsy protocol is maintained in a database and can be easily monitored by staff pathologists.
